Burning Isle Z-Axis Bug
Guild Wars lack of a real Z axis can be exploited on the Burning Isle GvG map. Each team has two paths to the flag stand, one through lava, and a longer one that goes over two bridges. Most teams take the bridges to avoid the lava. You can punish this by bodyblocking them from below the bridge. Position two people next to each other right below the bridge, and the other team won’t be able to get past them. Even better, they won’t be able to use targeted attacks on them either because they’re underneath the bridge! If a team retreats on this map you can use this trick to force them to come through the lava, giving you a huge advantage.
5 commentsSkills Never End Early
The last patch introduced a new bug to many skills that made them not end early if they were supposed to. Thunderclap and Spinal Shivers do not end when you run out of energy, Battle Rage does not end if you use a non-attack skill, Illusion of Weakness does not give you back health when you reach 25%, etc. Abuse them while you can, you can make some really fun builds with these bugged skills.
4 commentsTrain a Dire Pet
Dire is the highest damage evolution for a pet, and is ideal for an aggressive beastmaster. It’s also a hard evolution to get. Most pets are hearty because of all the damage they take. If you want a dire pet you have to specially train it.
To get a dire pet you need it to deal a lot of damage to enemies and not take a lot of damage itself. While training you need to put a lot of points into beastmastery. You will also want defensive pet skills like Call of Protection to keep it from taking damage. If you can tank while the pet deals damage that’s ideal.
The best spots for leveling up your pet are the minotaurs outside Ice Tooth Cave, and the Mergoyles outside Gates of Kryta. Set up your character defensively and let your pet kill them. It takes a long time for it to level, but once it gets to level 15 and becomes dire it will never change again. Congratulations on getting the best pet in the game!

Hell’s Precipice is the place for chest farming. The chests there drop rare fellblades, sephis axes, and dead bows which can be worth hundreds of thousands of gold.
Most people run to the chests with warrior/mesmers for mantra of flame. You should go with a full team of 8, to split the cost of opening the chests and divide up aggro. Groups are forming all the time, so join one before people catch on and those rare weapons drop in price.
